
UK-based Be is the country’s first ADSL2+ provider and has unveiled its plan to provide users with an upstream speed of 2.5Mbps. That’s 60% faster than current Be speeds and 10x faster than your traditional ADSL connections. New data rates will be applied across the existing user base at no extra charge. Will Be’s competitors sit up and take notice? Such rivalry would be essential as the industry matures, where the customer dollar is king.
