
Airgo has issued a statement confirming that 802.11n products will trample nearby 802.11b and 802.11g signals. One of the ways to overcome this potential disaster would be making silicon changes to the product. In other words, devices currently sold that come with the caveat of being able to update its firmware to be fully compliant with 802.11n products will be unable to do so. Its competitors Atheros, Broadcom and Marvell aren’t too amused by this development.
