Apple courting Taiwanese manufacturer for iPhone?

Word on the street is Apple could use parts from Hon Hai Precision, a Taiwanese electronics manufacturer for its “iPod with phone functions”. Analysts expect Apple to introduce the iPod phone by Q4 2006. Phone manufacturers ought to sit up and take notice, as Apple grabbing just 1% of the worldwide phone market share will result in $1.3 billion of missed opportunity.
