
Seiko Epson has developed the world’s first print head using an OLED light source, paving the way for OLED to be used as a new printing technology for printers from the current laser/LED light sources. This paradigm shift has seen comparable or better printout quality than the ones by traditional laser printers. Should this become commercialized, color printers will be smaller and have higher resolution and faster printing speeds.
