
The engineers at Fujitsu have successfully developed a 200GB notebook hard drive. This small & quiet 2.5″ wonder uses perpendicular recording and spins at 4200 RPM, utilizing minimal power. Codenamed MHV2200BT, it will be released sometime in Q3. Pricing details are unavailable at press time.One can only see good tidings for the notebook industry as the much maligned hard drive has finally seen some notable leaps in terms of size and efficiency.
