HD content will not suffer on analog outputs

Those with HDTVs minus HDMI connectors can heave a sigh of relief for the moment as Sony and other movie studios have guaranteed they will not play HD-DVD movies on their Blu-Ray discs at a reduced resolution. Although this guarantee covers the first wave of Sony’s Blue-Ray discs, we are not sure whether future releases will utilize the Image Constraint Toekn that forces players to down-sample video that is piped out via a player’s component video outputs.
