Holographic Drive set to be storage medium of the future

InPhase Technologies has developed a holographic drive that offers a capacity that is many times over that of conventional magnetic storage media. To put things in perspective, a holographic disc has the potential of storing more than 100 DVD-quality movies. The media is able to store a mind-boggling 64GB of data per square inch. Expect the first holographic drive to be unveiled this year, with a 1.6 terabyte version in the works.
