The uber-famous Japanese manga Gingatetsudo 999 aka Galaxy Express 999 has spawned a robotic receptionist of their heroine, Me-Teru, at the Kita-Kyushu airport (coincidentally the home town of Matsumoto-San, the series’ manga-ka). The Me-Teru robot stands tall at 1.7m and is capable of answering up to 200 airport-related questions. Imagine seeing a fast-talking Spidey version in the Big Apple – “My spider sense is tingling!”
