A collaboration between Doshisha University and Panasonic has produced a speaker that utilizes bamboo fibres. It offers a higher resistant advantage and an enlarged sound range when compared with current fibres used in existing HiFi speaker sets. Needless to say, it costs higher but Panasonic will still forge ahead with its release next year. Since bamboo grows extremely fast, mass production of these speakers should have a minimal impact on the environment.
