Pharos invents the universal GPS

I have been accumulating GPS units for some time now: proprietary, USB, CF, SD-IO, serial, Bluetooth, you name it. I always thought that it was a shame that some of these devices could not be re-used just because they don’t have the right interface. Pharos solves the problem by making the iGPS-500 external GPS receiver. Thanks to a modular design, it can work with any interface: just plug the iGPS-500 into the appropriate module and voila, you can connect it to a device. You will be able to use it with any device –even an Origami mini PC-, provided that Pharos has the right module, and so far, it seems that they have them all. The price starts at $99 for a wired version, which is not bad at all!
