Japanese research team Riken have developed a humanoid robot named the RI-MAN to take care of the elderly. Standing 5-feet tall, the RI-MAN can see, hear, smell and carry human beings. With Japanese life expectancy increasing, so does the need for elderly care, and if you’re a busy conscientious person who won’t hear any talk of old folks’ homes, you can purchase a RI-MAN for your parents. Still, is it just us or is this just too creepy to be viable?
