Sony’s Blu-Ray player will ship in July, but we know how fickle announced dates can be. It looks absolutely huge like all other HD players. Compatible with standard DVDs with 1080p upscaling via HDMI, you shouldn’t replace your existing DVD library just yet. The player outputs 1920 x 1080p and supports from DVD/DVD+/-R / +/-RW encoded discs, MP3 and JPEG files. Expect to fork out at least $1000 for one of these players.
