Sony’s 002, 003, and 005 MP3 players that are set to oust the existing E100/E300 series come in 512MB, 1GB, and 2GB flavors respectively. All 3 will be priced below the iPod Nano in order to grab a chunk of Apple’s pie. OLED technology is used for the screen to provide the most minimal yet important information to the user. Will these thumbdrive-designed MP3 players cause Apple executives sleepless nights? We think not, as Apple’s rivals will have to try harder than that.
