Kicking up too much noise pollution might soon get you booked. A New South Wales company has turned Australian Navy technology into a ticketing system that targets drivers with too loud stereos, exhausts or those who’re a little too trigger happy on the horn. After audio offenders are caught, a 10-second video and audio clip is saved on to a hard drive capable of storing up to 10,000 such clips. The system is tied together with Wi-Fi. Ticketing noise violators has been looked upon as a major source of income for cities, an untapped revenue stream just waiting for someone to make use of it.
