US carrier Sprint plans to expand its EV-DO to cover an estimated 190 million people across the US, with the Q3 2007 target of covering 220 million people in US and Puerto Rico. The Rev A service offers several performance boosters over the existing EV-DO Rev 0 version including 3.1Mbps download speeds, and uplink speeds that are at least 3 times faster.
