Microsoft’s Windows Live Local Technology allows you to view a location via a “street-side” perspective. So far only downtown cores of Seattle and san Francisco maps are available for feedback purposes. In addition to the street-side view, aerial, road, and bird’s eye views are also available via Windows Live Local. Facet Technology Corp’s SightMap technology is being used to power this project. IMHO, the street-side perspective looks very much like high-resolution screenshots Microsoft’s hit game a few years back, Midtown Madness.
