IO-DATA’s new Blu-ray DVD burner is actually a rebranded Pioneer drive underneath the hood. Available in internal and external versions, be more than prepared to cough up a pretty penny for this Blu-ray DVD burner. The internal drive costs 735 Euros while the external drive is nearly 100 Euros more expensive at 810 Euros. The press conference that heralded the arrival of these drives had an uber cool factor with 25GB discs being handed out as freebies though. The cost of staying at the forefront of technology burns more than just Blu-ray DVDs, but a hole in your pocket as well.
