Panasonic’s notebook range has received a refresh in the form of the 5 series, with the R, W, T, and Y5 models in tow. The R, W, and T series will see the outgoing Pentium M processor replaced by a Core Solo U1300 (1.06GHz) chip while the Y incorporates the spanking new Core Duo T2300. Not only that, the Y weighs less at 1.49kg, has a waterproof keyboard, a 7-to-9 hour battery life, and is protected by a case that is able to withstand pressures of up to 100kg! All the notebooks in this range will carry a UATA 60GB HDD – unfortunately the Y and W will not carry a Blu-ray burner.
