Sony's DCR-SR100 camcorder uses hard drive for storage

Sony’s upcoming DCR-SR100 camcorder will ship with a built-in hard drive that is able to store more than 20 hours of LP video which amounts to 7 hours of high-quality video. It uses a 3.3-megapixel HAD CCD and Carl Zeiss Vario-Sonnar lenses that will capture exceptionally stunning pictures. A nightshot mode grants you the freedom to capture video in total darkness, while the built-in microphone records sound in Dolby Digital 5.1 surround sound. Unfortunately, the DCR-SR100 does not support high definition, which is a shame, really.
