Averatec has stepped into the Ultra Mobile PC (UMPC) fray with its AHI device. It sports a 5″ SXGA TFT display, a 30GB hard drive, an Intel Celeron M processor, and runs on the Windows XP Home Service Pack 2 OS. This Windows XP PDA device uses a slider design that reveals a keyboard when open. GPS and 3G capabilities are optional, but WiFi and USB 2.0 connectivity are included. No release date has been set yet, but the Averatec AHi is expected to retail between $700 and $1000.
