Cambodia bans use of 3G handsets

Although Cambodia’s 3G network opened for business earlier this year, the Prime Minister Hun Sen has declared a country-wide ban on 3G technology after his wife received some pornography on her 3G handset. This move is clearly a knee-jerk reaction, as it will not solve the problem. Will he ban e-mails next due to unsolicited porn? The Minister of Telecommunications have received a letter from Hun Sen himself to delay the use of 3G handsets at his wife’s urging.
