Widely proclaimed as the Blackberry-killer, the Motorola Q is currently the definitive smartphone to have if you want to fit in with the cool crowd. Just 0.5″ thick, this RAZR-thin smartphone offers fantastic phone functions, music playback capability as well as fantastic e-mail features that support up to 8 e-mail accounts at speeds averaging 500kbps. Although it costs $200 less than the Palm Treo 700p, the Q contains more bugs and runs at a slower pace than the 700p. Verizon’s Q plans lean toward the expensive side that could impact its sales. If the Motorola Q is to be the most successful smartphone ever, the monthly fees charged by Verizon will require a downward revision.
