Sanyo has launched a quartet of DLP projectors that utilize the 2K technology, and they are the LP-HD2000 (2048 x 1080), the LP-WP80 (1366 x 768), the LP-XF46 (1024 x 768) and the LP-XP57 (1024 x 768). As with all releases, the attention is focused on the high-end model. The LP-HD2000 is HD-ready with 1080i and boasts a ratio of 1000:1 for 7000 lumens. It is interesting to note that the LP-HD2000′s 2048 x 1080 resolution is higher than True HD at 1920 x 1080. The price is a killer at $134,000.00, making it out of reach for the average Joe.
