Sony Ericsson W710 WALKMAN phone

The Sony Ericsson W710 perpetuates the legacy of the Walkman brand, one of the few good moves from Sony in the digital music area. The technical specs are not really impressive by geeks standard: 2 Megapixel camera, a 512MB Memory Stick Micro, FM Radio… The strength of the W710 is its nice and fun design that will please both active men and women. The phone connects to a PC and comes with dedicated software that will help manage the music database. Upon connection, the W710 will show up as a USB mass storage device and I’m only excited by this feature because my Treo 700w is not even capable of doing it. All devices with a flash memory should show up as a storage device under Windows or Mac OS. Finally, please note that Sony Ericsson offers an array of cool speakers and headsets for its Walkman line. We recently played with the (phone-powered) MPS-60 Portable Speakers in Paris (France) were surprised by the (relative) good sound quality.
