There have been some digital cameras in the market that recorded videos in formats that are exclusive only to itself, and these have fast faded into obscurity. Casio and DivX have collaborated to produce the Casio EX-S600D, a 6 megapixel camera that comes with DivX certification and will be released in France and Germany next month. The S600D records video in the hugely popular DivX format and can be played on over 1,500 video-playing devices such as DVD players and PMPs. Sharing your recorded videos with family and friends with the EX-S600D won’t be a problem. An hour’s worth of high quality video can be stored on a 1GB memory card.
