Gigabyte has entered into the smartphone fray with its range of g-Smart devices. The new Windows Mobile 5.0–powered g-Smart i120 was unveiled at Computex 06 and offers a 2.4″ touch screen display (240 x 320 resolution) as well as a navigation pad and number keys. The missing QWERTY will surely turn away users who rely on SMS as their primary mode of communication. Other features include 64MB RAM, 256MB of internal memory, a built-in FM transmitter, TV tuner, a 2.0 megapixel camera, MP3/AAC playback and Java support. The i120 can be connected via WiFi, Bluetooth, IrDA, and a 1.2 mini USB port.
