According to Daily Tech, Intel has begun shipping a new version of its 2.33GHz Core Duo processors as the heart of Apple’s iMac, Mac mini, MacBook and MacBook Pro line of computers. Officially known as Core Duo T2700, these new processors are going for $637 in batches of 1,000. The previous king of the hill 2.16GHz T2600 chip has been reduced in price to $423 per lot of 1,000. Some retail outlets are already carrying the new chip, and this should be a commonplace feature in all high-end notebooks soon.
