Sony has lent a literal slant to the word Origami in the world of electronics with its recently filed patent that includes developing a line of electronics that can be folded or bent to your liking. These bendable polymer-based devices, including the case and screen, will be extremely portable. The prospect of folding up your PC and bringing it home is exciting, and this technology could be extended to other devices such as consoles, phones, and navigational systems. Sony will use conductive rubber bracing struts filled with silicone oil that hardens whenever a current is passed through to achieve this effect.
