Laser-etched PowerBook

Laser-etchings do produce some lovely artwork across various surfaces, and the PowerBook from Apple is a prime candidate to undergo the knife for a cosmetic overhaul. Dan has etched Magritte’s famous “The Son of Man” onto his 15″ PowerBook by using the Epilog laser from Squid Lab. Needless to say, the entire drawing could not be etched without the help of Inkscape, an open-source vector graphics program that performs an amazing job when converting images into duotone graphics
