Imagine a battery that defies all convention – charging cellphone or notebook batteries within a few seconds instead of hours. It is business unusual as a team of researchers at MIT are working on such a battery to consign long charge times and expensive replacements in history. The prospect of never ever replacing batteries is a mouth-watering one. Travelers need not worry about the insane amount of chargers they have to pack these days with all the devices that they lug around. The team at MIT hopes to finish the prototype within the next few months and release them commercially within the next half decade.
