Napster is offering a free 256MB MP3 player with one condition – you will have to pay a monthly fee of $14.95 for the Napster To Go plan and remain on it for at least a year. Although this is a rather generous move, 256MB is a tad small by today’s standards. 512MB would have been a better bet, considering the prices of flash memory has been going nowhere but south as larger capacities are introduced. The 1GB player is available for an additional $50. With over 2 million songs to choose from, portable music enthusiasts who are looking for another MP3 player should check this out.
