
National Semiconductor will equip its 8,500-strong workforce with a 30GB 5G iPod. This move allows employees to download National podcasts as well as other communications. Since the iPod is able to store content such as downloadable music, videos, and photos, it offers the perfect platform to disseminate information across the length and breadth of the company. The total damage of such a move will cost around $2.5 million dollars, although it is almost certain that Apple will offer a bulk discount to National Semiconductor.
