Nintendo first introduced connectivity between its GameCube and Game Boy Advance consoles, sparking speculation that the Wii will be able to connect with the DS when released. That rumor was confirmed as a fact by Nintendo of Japan on Wednesday, turning the DS into a controller for the Wii as well as viewing DS games on the TV via the Wii. You can even purchase DS-specific downloads via the online DS Station store. In the same vein, this allows the DS to take advantage of the patent approved that includes a fully customizable user profile, contact list, in-game messaging, and proprietary e-mail functionality.
