No delay for Samsung BD-P1000 Blu-ray Player

Gearlog claims that the BD-P1000 Blu-ray player from Samsung will not experience a delay, despite numerous contrarian reports by Gizmodo, i4u.com, and Pocket-lint. Jim Sanduski, a senior VP of marketing for the Digital Video & Audio group at Samsung remains adamant that Samsung had always planned to release the BD-P1000 this June in the U.S., followed by Korea in July and an European launch in September. You can already purchase the BD-P1000 in the U.S., and these retail for around $1000 a pop. Should Samsung make the June 25 official launch date, it will be the first Blue-ray player in the domestic market.
