Philips will enter the candybar MP3 player market that is currently being dominated by the iPod nano, Z5, and Sansa e200 by introducing a couple of additions into its GoGear line. As with other GoGear devices, the SA9100 and SA9200 will come with a lovely backlit touch sensitive case that oozes with sophistication. The SA9100 comes with 1GB of storage space and will retail for $149 while the 2GB SA9200 is priced $50 higher. The former is looking at a September release date while the latter will be out next month. Both models come with a built-in FM tuner and 14 hours of playback time. Its a pity Philips has overlooked the lucrative 4GB and above segment.
