Doghouse Electronics has launched its RoverTV, a portable media recorder device. This extremely slim form factor is achieved by excluding a hard drive inside and replacing it with a SD memory card slot. The RoverTV can be plugged into any media device imaginable – a TV, DVD, CD, FM radio, or PC. It supports MP3, MP4, WAV, JPEG, BMP, and GIF file formats. You can also transfer data onto the SD card via the USB port. The RoverTV is available in 3.5″ and 4″ widescreen editions, retailing at $299 and $349 respectively. Either package will come with a 2GB and 1GB SD card to get you started.
