Samsung Electronics has introduced the industry’s first 1.98″ LCD panel that is capable of displaying VGA resolution images on it with the help of the company’s amorphous silicon (a-Si) technology. This means cellphone users using this new LCD can view their Windows screens and documents on their cellphone with the same clarity and quality that is found on desktops and notebooks. This new LCD panel offers superior performance when compared to a typical 40″ High Definition LCD TV, the former contains 10 times more pixels per square inch than the latter.
