Looks like the folks at SanDisk have been working overtime to bring you the e280 flash-based digital audio player that comes with a whooping 8GB of memory. It even has an additional microSD slot that could bring up the total to a grand 9GB. This spyshot was first spotted in the SanDisk Sansa forums, which means there’s a wolf in sheep’s clothing lurking within the Virginia-based lab. There is no official statement regarding the existence of the e280 so you won’t be seeing it on the shelves anytime soon. Speculation is nigh that SanDisk is waiting for flash memory prices to plummet further before producing the e280 en masse.
