Sony PS3 controller has typo

Here’s a blunder of epic proportions by Sony that will go down in Engrish folklore. Kotaku paid a visit to Sony’s Ginza showroom and came away with a winner – the PlayStation 3 controller displayed there is missing the SELECT button, with the word SERECT in its place instead. This could be attributed to a common translating mistake, but growing up on a diet Up, Up, Down, Down, Left, Left, Right, Right, A, B, Select, Start ought to have the correct spelling embedded into anybody’s psyche, cultural and language barrier notwithstanding.
