South Korea suffers from online gaming addiction

South Korea, the country with the world’s highest per capita rate of broadband connectivty (78%), is now suffering from the plague of online gaming addiction. In a recent survey 60% of South Koreans aged between 9 to 39 years of age lump themselves under the frequent online game players category. Around 1 million South Korean gamers are suffering from serious addiction that brings them to neglect eating, bathing, skipping school and even quitting their jobs. Last year saw at least 7 people dropping dead after playing too games for too long a stretch. Talk about playing hard unto the death!
