Universal introduces HD DVD price drop

Even though the HD DVD format is barely 2 months’ old, Universal Studios Home Entertainment will be introducing a price cut on all current and upcoming HD DVD releases. Perhaps now is a good time to jump on the HD bandwagon with all titles across the library retailing for $29.95, down from the $34.95 found on most current releases. This new pricing does not apply to the new line of HD DVD/DVD hybrid discs from the studio. This is another blow to Sony who is already beleaguered with Blu-ray titles being cancelled or shipped late.
