The FlashMic from HHB Communications is the world’s first digital recording microphone that comes with a built-in 1GB flash recorder. This removes the need for a cumbersome cable that comes attached with conventional microphones and recorders. Journalists and interviewers can now perform on-the-fly recording by pressing a single button. Recordings are transferred over to a PC via the USB port. The FlashMic is powered by a pair of AA batteries, offering around 8 hours’ of usage. It is quite portable as well, weighing just 366g minus batteries.
