RediRipe sticker takes stock of fruits

A professor from the University of Arizona has invented a fruit ripeness sticker for those who can’t tell the difference between a ripe and unripe fruit. This comes in useful especially for men who do grocery shopping as it will prevent any unwanted fights with his spouse when he returns home with a week’s supply of over-riped melons. Dubbed RediRipe, these stickers will turn blue from white as the fruit ripens. This is achieved by detecting the ethylene gas that is emitted from fruits during the ripening process. It is not applicable for all fruits or vegetables though. If you’re feeling adventurous, why not try the King of the Fruits? It requires no RediRipe as it will drop onto the ground when ripe.
