Samsung readies 4GB SSD for Vista

Samsung has a new 4GB solid state disk (SSD) that finds its place as a high speed NAND flash cache in notebooks and PCs alike. It will take advantage of Windows Vista’s ‘Windows ReadyBoost’ feature that populates the SSD with the necessary data before the user even asks for it. Theoretically, this will provide a significant boost in everyday actions and tasks. This SSD can also be used in hybrid hard drives, acting as a secondary source of cached data. Details of its release are unavailable, but it will most probably be released around the same time as Vista.
