SanDisk lifts veil on 2GB microSD cards

SanDisk has unveiled its new 2GB microSD cards for the masses. Unfortunately for those staying in the U.S., these new 2GB memory cards are available exclusively via Verizon Wireless stores for the next 2 months, so you will have to skip Amazon at the moment for a better deal. 2GB is enough to carry approximately 1,000 songs with you on the go, so an MP3-capable cellphone that uses the microSD format could potentially turn into your primary portable digital audio player as well. You can make your purchase from August 7th onwards for $99.99.
