The new Spybot 4WD from MacroSwiss is the successor to the Spybot Mk II, boasting the capability of delivering a higher payload with 4WD terrain handling capabilities. The Spybot 4WD weighs 6kg and uses the patent-pending flexible Flapper Wheels for cross-country mobility. These wheels enable the robot to wade through waterways, descend stairs, and even climb slippery 45 degree slopes. The Spybot 4WD is robust enough to survive a 10m toss. It has a maximum speed of 10km/h and can run for up to 4 hours before needing a recharge. This will add a new dimension to war operations as it the army won’t need to risk soldiers in urban environments.
