Verbatim will be making its Blu-ray Recordable and Rewriteable media available across stores this month, starting with a 25GB capacity disc that will be followed by a double-layer Blue-ray media disc later this year. All of Verbatim’s discs come with a ScratchGuard hard coat that offers a degree of protection for the Blu-ray disc from scratches and fingerprints. This is good news, as BenQ and Toshiba plans to release Blu-ray recorders over the next few months. Early price estimates of the BD-R and BD-RE discs hover at £20 and £24 respectively.
