Alba is offering a new pink-colored portable DVD player that targets the XX-chromosomed market, but the effort falls rather flat on its face due to the poor design. The Alba DVDP721PNK features a 7″ TFT LCD display and boasts stereo sound. It supports DVD-R, DVD-RW, DVD+R, DVD+RW, DVD, CD-R, CD-RW and CD playback compatibility and is powered by an AC adapter or a rechargeable battery pack. The Alba DVDP721PNK measures 4.65cm x 17.5cm x 20.85cm when closed. You can control it from afar via the battery-operated remote control, but such a small screen size usually means you can reach the DVD player physically while a movie is in progress. It retails for £89.99.
