Be prepared to get your socks knocked off by Creative’s recently announced uber convergence device. The DiVi CAM 516 is marked for release at the end of this month, and it boasts a 5.1 megapixel camera with 4x digital zoom, an MP3 player, a voice recorder, webcam functionality, and a video recorder that is capable of shooting MPEG 4 videos in 640 x 480 resolution at 30fps. Features include a flexible, rotating 1.7″ TFT display, 32MB of built-in memory, an SD/MMC card slot, A/V out, and UMS compliance. The main villian in the DiVi CAM 516′s quest for perfection would be the archaic USB 1.1 connection and being powered by 4 AAA batteries. It will come with the recommended price tag of $249.
