Palm has announced the new Palm GPS Navigator Smartphone Edition that is powered by TomTo’s NAVIGATOR 6 software. Road users can now use the GPS Navigator with the Treo to get around safely without worrying about taking the wrong turn. Features include a Bluetooh-enabled SiRFStar III GPS receiver, a 1GB memory card with maps of the U.S. and Canada pre-loaded, and the NAVIGATOR 7 software. Using it is child’s play – just insert the memory card into the Treo and hook up to the GPS receiver and you’re good to go. It is compatible with the Treo 650, 700w, and 700p smartphones and will retail for $299.
